Digital Signage Case Study

We were approached by the Southampton NHS University Hospital to install Digital Signage screens throughout their site, in locations such as reception foyers and hallways. The screen content was specifically designed for the University, with the students' needs in mind.
The signage screens display content on a scheduled basis, as the students need to know the location and times of their next lecture during the day, the displays can also be immediately updated by members of staff when needed, in case of any room changes or to display an emergency message for example.

Resource Management Suite From AMX

The Resource Management Suite from AMX incorporates a Touch Screen Panel, which allows users to book, and schedule meetings rooms for a specific date and time or reserve a room on an impromptu basis and set the meetings duration.
The scheduled room is now shown as reserved and unavailable to all system calendars, including Outlook, Exchange and the RMS. When the meeting is over, one simple touch on the panel frees the room and writes the room’s availability to the calendars.
If a meeting is about to end and there is no other meeting scheduled, a pop-up on the touch panel will invite meeting attendees to extend the meeting in 15-minute increments. All calendars will reflect this new information.
RMS also includes "Doorbell" and "Do Not Disturb" external touch-panel sign functionality to keep meetings confidential and uninterrupted.
By simply pressing a doorbell icon on a room's external touch panel, room occupants will hear a doorbell (played as a .wav file) and see a popup on the internal touch panel notifying them that someone requests their attention from the outside of the room.

Smart Technology’s AirLiner wireless Slate enables you to teach from anywhere and allows your audience to interact with information from their seats.
Multiple Slate users can write at the same time as someone at the SMART Board Interactive Whiteboard.
